Tavel Bristol-Joseph is the Pastry Chef and Partner at Emmer & Rye, Hestia, Kalimotxo, Henbit and TLV in Austin, TX. Originally from Georgetown, Guyana, Bristol-Joseph has had to overcome many struggles and challenges growing up which have helped him continue his path towards success. While Emmer & Rye and Hestia have both been awarded numerous accolades, Bristol-Joseph has received the StarChefs Rising Star Award in 2017 and was named one of Food & Wine Magazine’s “Best New Chefs of 2020.”
