Downtown’s light and airy Parisian-inspired bistro, Liberty Common is just the spot to greet the girls for the weekend. Reserve a spot during jazz brunch which takes place on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for live music, and heaping plates of fried chicken biscuits and Belgian waffles, croque madames, buttermilk pancakes and big, fluffy biscuits. To kick off the weekend festivities, start with one of their brunch cocktails, which range from bright (Le Spritz with Lillet and a Pet-Nat sparkling wine) to boozy (bloody Mary loaded up with pickled vegetables).

Make some sweet memories with your squad: Gather up the girls and head to The Goo Goo Shop and Dessert Bar, set just a block off Broadway. You’ll find Goo Goo Clusters — one of the country’s original candy bars — in both premium and limited-edition flavors in the retail space, plus a dessert bar in the back stocked with sweet treats, milkshakes, and sundaes. Book a spot in one of their hour-long, hands-on chocolate classes ($50, typically scheduled on weekends) where you’ll learn a bit of history and get to make your own Goo Goo while sampling treats from the dessert bar along the way. For $90, you can also do a pairing party of wine with your chocolate class.

If your plans involve honky-tonk hopping along Broadway, best to stay close to the action, even on a dinner break. Acme Feed & Seed sits at the base of Broadway. Spread out over three stories, with a rooftop bar, it makes for a solid fueling-up spot. There’s an eclectic, fast-casual menu of dry rub ribs and shrimp and grits on the first floor, and a robust sushi menu available on the second floor, plus multiple bars located throughout. Place an order downstairs and make your way to one of the large booths and tables. Or, call ahead to reserve a space on the second floor for up to 15 people. After you fill up, make your way up to the rooftop bar for a few froses and unbeatable views, or kick off the dance party with live music on the first floor.

It almost goes without say, but Lower Broadway is a major draw for any music fan or fun seeker in Nashville. Poke into the ones that seem fun to your group, but Tootsies Orchid Lounge and Robert's Western World are among the spots where you'll actually find locals. Order a beer, find a spot near the dance floor and don’t forget to tip your musicians.
